"Forever a cherished member of the Massimo family."

Mary Lou passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on June 23, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. She faced her illness with remarkable faith, strength, and grace while surrounded by the love of her husband, John ("Bo"), and her family.

Born to Lawrence and Jacqueline (Lovecchio) Melchiorre, Mary Lou was proud of her Italian heritage and the traditions that brought family together. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1976 before earning an Associate's Degree from Central Penn Business School. Throughout her career, she became a highly respected real estate professional in the York, Pennsylvania area, known for her kindness, integrity, and genuine care for every client she served.

Mary Lou found joy in life's simple blessings - her faith, family, gardening, cooking traditional Italian meals, traveling with Bo, gathering loved ones around the table, and spending peaceful evenings watching the sunset with a martini in hand. She opened her home and her heart to everyone, making every guest feel like family.

She will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family and friends and remains an enduring part of the Massimo family story.

"Though she is no longer with us, Mary Lou's love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will forever be woven into the branches of our family tree."
